Waterfall

HD video projection, Yarra Ranges Art Attack, VIC, 2022

Project description

Comprising of dozens of waterfalls stitched together into a large format projection, this gigantic multi-step waterfall will flow for one night only, reflecting the ephemeral nature of waterfalls in this the driest inhabited continent in the world; Australia.

Through collaboration with celebrated waterfall mapper Travis Easton, the artwork synthesises dozens of celebrated waterfalls situated in the Yarra Ranges as well as dozens more ‘secret’ waterfalls situated on private land.

From the majestic 30-metre-tall tiered waterfall of Toorongo Falls to the enchanting babbling of La La Falls Cascades in Warburton, the waterfalls will flow in order of their distance from the source of the Yarra River at Mt. Baw Baw.
