About
Lee's work explores humanity's subjugation of the living world, the importance of responsible technology, and storytelling of place. His creative practice emerged from a desire to take storytelling through film beyond the confines of traditional cinema and into public spaces. This interdisciplinary approach addresses the evolving nature of public art and the transformative potential of projection technology, as well as shifts in multi artform storytelling. Lee is one of the lead artists at Little Projector Company.
Holobiont systems thinker. Follower of Lynn Margulis. Dream of a time when wealth is measured by the complexity of ecological connections. Bookworm hole adventurer. Born of a time and place where worker solidarity still held strong. Sustained by faith in the living world. Suspicious of Hope. Looking for the best in people. Observer of stories storying the land and waters. Radical change demands radical action. A failure of imagination imagines imagining as over, yet imagination is us, just as we are life.

Recognition of Advantage
As a white male settler living in Australia, my journey began in the United Kingdom, where I was born and raised. In 2011, I emigrated to Australia, drawn by its ecology and vibrant culture. Through this transition, I have come to understand and acknowledge the privileges I enjoy—privileges rooted in the historical context of colonisation and the ongoing influence of patriarchal systems. It is essential for me to reflect on how these repressive structures have benefited me as a privileged person and continue to do so. This is a lifelong process that requires transparency and truth-telling.
Little Projector Company
Who? Mobile projection specialists
What? Ceremony, festival, and celebration
How? Storytelling about place
We are mobile projection specialists. As an artist led creative organisation we create and facilitate the development and exhibition of site-responsive installations, performances, and tours that combine projection, film, storytelling, sound design, and more.
Born from a desire to take storytelling through film out of the cinema and into the street, we have collaborated with hundreds of artists and communities, presented work at Australia’s biggest light festivals, and pioneered mobile projection arts practice.
